Qatar Airways is the CLC23’s preferred Airline for Conference delegates flying from the U.K., Australia, Africa, Canada, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Caribbean via the USA.

We have negotiated a special CLC23 discount of 10%-12% on both Business Class and Economy fares for delegates travelling to the conference and this fare is available for travel in the 10 days preceding or 10 days post conference period.

Qatar is part of the One World Alliance and so those who belong to the BA or AA Elite programme accrue AVIOS miles and benefits with Qatar. BA elite passengers can also merge their accounts with Qatar.

Once registered for the Conference, your confirmation email will contain a special CLC Promo Code for Qatar Airlines. U.K., Caribbean and Americas

Alternate options for those arriving from the UK, British Airways is offering three flights daily nonstop from London. You will then have to connect to a domestic airline like Vistara or Indigo to get to Goa which lengthens the journey and may increase cost.

Alternate options from the Caribbean and USA, American Airlines, Delta and United all offer nonstop service to Delhi and Mumbai from several USA gateways including Miami. You then have to connect to a domestic airline to continue to Goa.

Air India offers nonstop service from most Commonwealth nations to India.

Additional One Stop Service to Goa

Alternate options for delegates arriving from the Australasia as well as those from Africa your main local carriers usually offer nonstop service to Mumbai/Bombay, Delhi and Kochi.

Guide for International Air Travel, Airports and Domestic Flights

Arrival into India

India has two major airports serving the majority of its International Flights, Mumbai and New Delhi.

From personal experience we advise if at all possible to arrive via the Mumbai airport.

A relatively new airport, it is well organized and staffed thus greatly reducing time at Immigration and facilitating a smooth process and exit from the airport. The flight time from Mumbai to Goa is just over one hour.

One can also fly into Delhi; however the passenger traffic into Delhi is substantially greater than Mumbai which can cause delays in Immigration as well as exiting the airport. The flight time from Delhi to Goa is over two hours.

Domestic Travel

For your connecting flight onto Goa, there are many choices of airline; however two stand out in the area of service, on time departure and reasonable airfares. These airlines are Indigo and Vistara and both offer connecting service from Mumbai and Delhi to Goa. Quite often the airfare in premium economy is not much more to economy and it is advisable to do this as it allows you not only a better seat but double the baggage allowance.

Departure from India

As above one can depart from either Mumbai or Delhi. In this particular case a departure from Delhi airport comes with an unforgettable treat. Post conference there are many options to travel to other parts of India. This nation is diverse in its geography and culture and one should venture on to the Golden Triangle or Kerala before returning home. However if you only have time for one great adventure, then the Taj Mahal is it.

Book a two night stay in Delhi at the Hotel Andaz (CLC rate $158) with a full day trip to the Taj Mahal. It is an amazing experience and a perfect way to end your visit to India as a trip to this nation is simply not complete without it.

E-VISA

1. All visitors to India must have a Visa to enter the country.
2. Most delegates can apply online (https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/) but some nationalities will need to make a paper application. A recent change now allows U.K. delegates to apply via the e-visa portal below. Please check the e- visa website to confirm the current position : https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/
3. We advise that you apply for a conference visa and not a business or tourist visa. A conference visa will enable you to stay in India for 30 days after arrival and participate in tourist activities pre or post conference as part of its remit.
4. Political clearance letters are required to be lodged with your application – one from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and one from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. We will send these to all registered delegates shortly – PLEASE WAIT FOR THESE DOCUMENTS BEFORE APPLYING, AS YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED WITHOUT THEM AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR VISA FEE.
5. Please contact the CLA Secretariat for a letter of support for your visa application, noting that we are only able to issue such letters once you have registered for the Conference. If you are bringing a person for whom you have purchased an accompanying person ticket ($150), we are also able to issue a letter of support for that accompanying person.
6. Please also ensure that you have completed the Visa information page at the end of the CLC23 registration portal and we will then forward the information you give us to the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs. The information we collect is only to assist you in obtaining expedited clearance – WE DO NOT APPLY FOR A VISA ON YOUR BEHALF.
